Lyons Road Construction Update (County and FDOT Projects):
Lyons Road in front of our community is scheduled for improvements in the upcoming year. The improvements include a sidewalk on the north side of the road, new drainage to reduce flooding, and reworking the curvature of the roadway to attempt to straighten out the road as much as possible. We expect this work to start sometime in mid to late 2017. The proposed roadway work is expected to take about 6 months. Prior to commencement of the roadway improvements the county will be up-sizing the existing sanitary sewer force main within Lyons Road. The new force main will be installed within the roadway and median and is expected to start in February of next year (2017) with a construction duration of 90-120 days. The board has been working with both the County and FDOT to minimize the disruption to our community but traffic delays should be expected. We will provide further updates as they become available.
